Egyptian Pomegranate Benefits
Lowering blood pressure:

Improve the conditions of people with diabetes:
Pomegranate juice and peel contain a compound known as punicalagin, which is a powerful antioxidant. It has been shown that the effectiveness of antioxidants in pomegranate exceeds three times those found in green tea. In addition, pomegranate seed oil contains a substance known as punicic acid, which has powerful effects on the body. Research shows that the use of pomegranate seed extracts may contribute to lowering blood glucose levels, as well as improving the body’s response to insulin.
Improve heart health:
Pomegranate and its benefits for heart health Pomegranate has distinctive properties that promote heart health, as it reduces the risk of heart failure. A clinical study published in Phytotherapy Research in 2017 indicates that consuming 220 ml of pomegranate juice contributes to protecting and improving heart health. In addition, the nutritional supplements in pomegranate show potential benefits for cardiovascular disease. However, experts at the National Institutes of Health stress that the research conducted on the role of pomegranate in reducing heart disease factors still needs more studies to confirm and clarify its results.
Improve digestive health:
This effect has been attributed to the presence of a compound known as urolithin A in the juice. This compound is formed when antioxidants known as polyphenols in pomegranate interact with gut bacteria. Urolithin A shows a positive effect on the junctional areas between the cells that make up the lining tissues of the intestine, thus strengthening the protective barrier of the intestine. This effect contributes to preventing the passage of toxins and infections, and works to repair any defect that may occur in the intestinal barrier.
However, it should be noted that eating pomegranate may not be a guarantee that IBD symptoms will be reduced or not present. The bacteria that contribute to the production of urolithin A may not be present in sufficient quantities or may not be present at all.
