The sweet potato export season usually begins in mid-July every year and will continue until the end of January next year.

Exports of the crop are improving this year, as the quantities exported during the first ten months of the current export season, which extends from September to August of the following year, increased to 97 thousand tons, with a value of $47 million. This represents a growth of 18.2% in volumes and 22% in revenues compared to the same period of the previous season.

The majority of Egyptian sweet potato exports go to European markets, specifically England as the largest importer of this product from Egypt, followed by Poland, which re-exports it to the rest of Europe.

Hernandez Potato:
